NhaVietCorp, in collaboration with Hoi An City authorities, started construction of the first terracotta cultural park in Vietnam at Thanh Ha District, in the central city of Hoi An.
The Thanh Ha Terracotta Cultural Park has investment of VND22 billion and is located on the 500-year-old traditional pottery village of Thanh Ha.
The park will cover 5,800 square meters, consisting of five theme zones: pottery museum, outdoor exhibition, performance stage, composition camp, and trade promotion and services.
The park is shaped like the turning table used in the process of making pottery products.
Architect Nguyen Van Nguyen, director of NhaVietcorp, said: “The park expects to help preserve and promote the traditional culture of the Thanh Ha pottery village, to create jobs for local people as well as become a good tourist spot for Hoi Anâ€.
The park, which is expected to be completed in July 2013, will also be attractive to researchers and students due to the sculptures and artwork. In the park, the investor will also build miniature works of My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An ancient town and Hue Citadel on a scale of 1/10.
