VNAT popularizes set of criteria of the sustainable tourism green lotus label

(TITC) - On 8th Aug., in Vung Tau City, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) held a seminar on environmental protection training and popularizing set of criteria of the sustainable tourism green lotus label applied in Vietnam's tourist accommodations.

The seminar attracted more than 120 representatives of departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and tourist accommodations of 26 provinces and cities in the Southern region. The event aimed to raise responsibility of tourism sector in environmental protection as well as to improve service quality and competitive capacity of Vietnam's tourist accommodations.

 

At the seminar, set of criteria of the sustainable tourism green lotus label, ASEAN Green label, ISO 14001, lotus label for Vietnam green construction, and solar hot water solutions in tourist accommodations were presented.

 

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau also reported the results of environmental protection as well as experiences in green energy application of tourist accommodations in the province.
