Vietnam's booth has won a bronze prize at the Expo Yeosu 2012, which took place in the Republic of Korea (RoK) from May 12 - August 12.
The international event attracted the participation of 104 countries and international organisations across the world.
Covering an area of over 300 sq.m, Vietnam's display space on the theme of "Vietnam - Sea, Islands and People" attracted more than 2,000 visitors each day.
The RoK Prime Minister, Kim Hwang-sik, said the event played an important role in underlining the importance of the global sea environment.
With more than 8.15 million visitors, the expo also contributed to raising public awareness of the great challenges in protecting the marine environment and dealing with climate change, rising sea levels and diminishing natural resources.
