Lam Kinh Festival 2012 to be held in early October

The Lam Kinh Festival 2012 will be held from October 6 to 8 in the Lam Kinh historical relic in Tho Xuan, Thanh Hoa.

The festival honours the national hero Le Loi, Kings of the Le Dynasty, heroes and people who earned merit during the founding and safeguarding of the country, as well as praising the cultural beauty imbued with national character of the land of Thanh Hoa.

The festival also aims to contribute to teaching the patriotic tradition and national pride to the grassroots, as well as attract tourists to the relic and draw investment, contributing to the economy, culture and tourism of Thanh Hoa Province.

During the festival, there will be activities including a thurible procession in the relics of Le Thai To Temple, Le Thai To Royal Tombs, Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai Temple and Le Loi Statue. Besides, cultural, sporting and tourism activities, folk games related to Lam Kinh Festival and ethnic sport games will be arranged during the event.
