Special cultural features of Binh Phuoc tourism are seen in the daily life of the people in those communities, especially in their cultural festivals such as Ba Ra Shrine Festival and New Rice Festival of M'nong people, Chol Cham Th'may new year festival, and Bo Ma Festival. Those festivals reveal the distinctive features of the unique multiethnic culture in Binh Phuoc province.

Binh Phuoc province has not only the potential to develop historical and cultural tourism, but also natural sights such as Bau Lach grassland with a natural grass area of about 500 hectares, Bu Gia Map National Forest, Voi Waterfall (Elephant Waterfall), Dung Waterfall (Standing Waterfall), Ba Ra-Thac Mo tourism zone and Suoi Lam lake, in accordance with the ecological tourism development.

Paying due attention to exploiting specific advantages

Tourism is an industry related to almost all other fields, requiring a flexible management system to keep the province's tourism on track with modern life without making cultural features and natural beauty of popular spots fade away. Being aware of that fact, Binh Phuoc's authority has been paying due attention to promoting the application of modern technology in tourism management and business, labour training and developing infrastructure.

Binh Phuoc's tourism ministry has been promoting and creating conditions for tourism staff to give their opinion on management, along with applying modern technology such as data management on computer. Additionally, agencies in the tourism industry have been sending their staff to study about online registration card system of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism along with building tourism database on the website of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, as well as of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to provide tourists with essential information.

Particularly, Binh Phuoc province's tourism agencies also focus on applying the online analysis system to identify traffic routes with a view to mapping out reasonable tourism routes. Besides, due attention is paid to promoting tourism products by technological information system.

In a working session with us, Mr Nguyen Quang Toan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc province, said that recently, Binh Phuoc province's authority has been putting much effort into promoting this clean industry and those efforts will be intensified in the time to come. Specifically, to well serve tourists coming to Binh Phuoc, the authority will continue to enhance the competitiveness of the province's tourism industry, cooperate with other provinces to jointly develop tourism, boost the promotion of residential and border gate tourism and sign contracts with other provinces to work together in avoiding direct competition.

Furthermore, the authority will pay attention to diversifying tourism products and developing cultural, historical and ecological tourism, which is considered the advantage of the province's tourism. At the same time, the authority is boosting tourism promotion in many flexible ways, taking advantage of the combination between domestic and international tourism, gradually creating and enhancing the image of Binh Phuoc tourism.
