(TITC) - According to Khanh Hoa tourism's statistics, Khanh Hoa Province has welcomed more than 478 thousand international arrivals so far this year, up nearly 25 percent compared to last year's same period.
International arrivals from some markets in the past nine months rose strongly, including Russia (190%), South Korea (60%), Australia (40%)... The average length of stay of international and domestic tourists was 3.3 and 2 days, respectively.
The province now has over 540 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 15,000 rooms, including 48 three to five star hotels with over 8,500 rooms; many shopping, entertainment facilities and original tourism products. Besides, the province also has applied appropriate measures such as establishment of tourist information and assistance center.
In October 2013, Vietnam Airlines will add more flights (2 flights per week from Moscow to Nha Trang). Hong Kong - Nha Trang direct air route will be launched in November 2013. Direct flights from Russia's Far East to Cam Ranh Airport will be increased.
In addition, Khanh Hoa Province has had some proposals to lure international tourists to Vietnam in general and to Khanh Hoa in particular as improving Nha Trang Port and Cam Ranh Airport.
