Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District of the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap will hold a tourism festival for the first time between September 25 and 27.
Titled “Tram Chim in the flooding season,” the festival is held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of World Tourism Day, said Nguyen Van Hung, director of the park.
The event will feature different activities including a contest of making artistic birds, a photo contest featuring fauna and flora of Tram Chim and a photo exhibition on the park that has been recognized as the world’s 2,000th site of the Ramsar Convention of Wetlands of International Importance, and a 3D photo exhibition on Dong Sen Thap Muoi eco-tourism site.
In addition, tourists will be invited to tours to explore Tram Chim National Park with a stunning beauty and a diversified ecosystem in the flooding season.
Established in 1998, the park covers nearly 7,600 hectares and is home to over 100 vertebrate, 40 aquatic and 147 bird species.
