Pho bo (beef noodle soup), a Vietnamese traditional dish has been served on Vietnam Airlines flights from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to London, UK, since September 2015.
The national flag carrier’s in-flight catering services have undergone an improvement according to 4-star standard service, providing high quality meals for air travelers.
Facilities are redesigned modern and according to standard of restaurant and hotel, including menu cards, food and beverages, and cutlery sets.
Cuisine and dishes are more diverse, and menus have been redesigned to complement the flights they accompany, arranged separately for outbound and inbound routes. Furthermore, frequent seasonal changes will enhance passengers’ dining pleasure.
A widely diversified beverage, including cocktails, fresh tropical fruit juices, teas, coffee and popular mineral, flat and carbonated waters is on offer.
There are also three cocktails, the Red River, Saigon Sunlight, and Hello Viet Nam made by specialist Vo Tan Si, Chairman of Saigon Bartenders Association and member of World Bartenders Association.
Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will also provide duty free shopping on all international flights from January 1, 2016.
VNA’s quality of service have improved sharply, especially after the national flag carrier has kicked off its 4-star service upgrade since July.
The carrier has been selected one of the Top 10 Most Improved Airlines by the UK-based airline review organization Skytrax. Winning airlines were selected in a survey from September, 2014 to May, 2015 with the participation of 18.89 million passengers around the world.
Vietnam Airlines has also ranked the 55th position in the list of the world’s 100 best airlines for 2015.
The company's representative said the carrier will continue to enhance it service to achieve five-star standard in the next 3-5 years.
