According to Radio the Voice of Vietnam Online (VOV), the event is organised by the Viet Nam Embassy in China in co-ordination with the Viet Nam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chinese Ministry of Culture, in celebration of 66 years of the establishment of Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties.

Speaking at the opening, Viet Nam Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi emphasised that the two countries have jointly organised a range of culture, arts, education, sports, and travel exchange activities, drawing the attention of the two countries’ society, including youngsters.

Cultural co-operation and people-to-people exchange have increasingly enhanced, contributing to strengthening friendship and understanding between the two peoples and creating a solid social basis for bilateral relations, Khoi said.

The exhibition, taking place on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and China along with the establishment of ASEAN Community, not only promotes Viet Nam but also the ASEAN Community. The ambassador expressed his desire that the three Vietnamese artists’ works would help the Chinese public and international friends understand more about the country and people of Viet Nam – a beautiful, hospitable and peace-loving nation.

Painter Dang Phuong Viet, who brings to the exhibition lotus oil paintings, said Vietnamese artists want to give Chinese friends a colourful image of the beauty of Viet Nam’s land and people.
