Update: Jan 22, 2016
An eight-minute film featuring Viet Nam’s beautiful landscapes, unique culture and 30-year reform achievements, began a seminar held in Panama on January 20, to popularise Viet Nam’s people and tourism potentials.

Some 35 travel agencies in the country were invited to the event.

With beautiful illustrative images, Vietnamese Ambassador to Panama Vu Ngoc Minh explained to the participants why Viet Nam has become such an attractive destination in recent years, and why it is receiving such great praise from foreign visitors and press.

In addition to seeing different angles of Viet Nam through the film “Viet Nam - Timeless Charm”, the participants also had the chance to enjoy some traditional Vietnamese dishes such as spring roll, various kinds of summer rolls, nom (the indigenous salad of Vietnamese cuisine), fried rice and tangy beef noodle soup.

Representatives from travel agents appreciated the useful information about Viet Nam provided by Vietnamese Embassy. They showed special interest in Vietnamese food, saying that the cuisine helps to bring Viet Nam closer to Panamanian people.

Viet Nam and Panama have seen stellar cooperation development in the past four decades. The two countries have fostered their collaboration across economics, trade, investment, tourism and science-technology.
