Viet Nam promotes tourism in ATF TRAVEX

(TITC) – In the framework of ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2016 in Manila (Philippines), Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) collaborated with Tourism Department of Ho Chi Minh City, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, Vietnam Airlines and tourism enterprises to participate in ATF TRAVEX from 20 - 22 January 2016.

ATF TRAVEX is the longest-running annual ASEAN leisure travel trade event, showcasing the largest contingent of ASEAN sellers. A significant component of the ATF program, ATF TRAVEX centers on a trade-only mart, designed to offer opportunities for ASEAN travel products suppliers to meet qualified buyers from around the world through scheduled appointments. Each year, ATF TRAVEX welcomes some 1,600 delegates, including more than 450 international buyers and 150 international media.

In the first day, Viet Nam Tourism booth attracted 500 partners and visitors, including a large number of European partners. Such destinations in the region as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore have become common for European tourists while they seek new attractive and unique destinations. Recently, Viet Nam has approved policies to facilitate European tourists, especially visa waiver policy and various extensive promotional activities. Therefore, more and more partners are keen on bringing European tourists to Viet Nam. Luxury travel and exploring nature-culture are most popular tourism product lines for Europeans.

Press conference promotes Viet Nam tourism

In ATF TRAVEX, VNAT organized a press conference to promote major Viet Nam tourism products and events in 2016: Visit Viet Nam Year - Phu Quoc - Mekong Delta, Hue Festival, Asian Beach Games - ABG 5, VITM - Ha Noi, Beach-Leisure and M.I.C.E Travel Mart (BMTM) - Da Nang, ITE HCMC. Media agencies showed thier interest in Vietnamese visa policy, international overland border crossings between Viet Nam and neighboring countries, specific information about international tourism fairs of Viet Nam, linkage between Vietnam Airlines and strategic partners, tourism sector’s targets in 2016, policies to attract South Korean tourists and training Korean language for tour guides…
