Vietnamese Cultural Week dazzles Argentina

The Vietnamese Cultural Week wrapped up in Argentina’s Cordoba on province on April 24 with a string of attractive activities, disseminating the beauty of the people, culture and landscape of the Southeast Asian country.

Jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and the Argentina-Viet Nam Cultural Institute (ICAV), the event received warm response from locals.

During the week, talks on history, people and the rich traditional culture of Viet Nam were held with the participation of local professors, while Le Thanh Xuan, a representative from the Vietnamese embassy, presented Viet Nam’s socio-economic achievements during the Doi Moi (Renewal) progress.

Alongside this, many Vietnamese famous and award wining movies such as “Con chim vanh khuyen” (The Zosterops), “Canh dong hoang” (Abandoned Field), “Dung dot” (Don’t Burn) and “Chuyen cua Pao” ( Pao’s story) were screened at the event.

On the occasion, Argentinean friends who love Viet Nam also discussed the establishment of an ICAV branch in Cordoba.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Culture Week opened in the Latin American country’s capital city of Buenos Aires, running from April 1-9 at La Boussole Club, attracting the great interest of locals.
