Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air launched its newest international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Kuala Lumpur on June 1.

The inaugural flight coded VJ825 landed in Kuala Lumpur at around 12:00 local time. Passengers on the flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur enjoyed traditional Malaysian dances performed by Vietjet’s dancers and received special gifts from the airline’s flight attendants.
Viet Nam’s Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, along with senior officials from both countries’ authorities, was present at the inaugural ceremony.
Delivering his speech at the event, Deputy PM Dung spoke highly of the efforts of Vietjet in creating a bridge connecting Viet Nam and Malaysia. He also applauded the airline for its efforts to offer safe aviation services which benefit people in both countries.
The Ho Chi Minh City-Kuala Lumpur route operates on a daily basis. Flying time is about one hour and 55 minutes. The flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 9:30 (local time) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25 (local time). Return flights take off from Kuala Lumpur at 13:00 (local time) and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 13:55 (local time).

Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express and ATM issued by the 24 banks in Viet Nam with Internet Banking services.
With convenient flying times, affordable fares and high quality services, the route is expected to boost economic and cultural exchange between two countries.
To celebrate the launch, Vietjet is offering hundreds of thousands of promotional tickets from US$0.00 (terms and conditions applied) in its ‘Enjoy your summer’ campaign. As a leg of ‘It is time to Vietjet’, the latest promotion, which runs from May 31, 2016 to June 2, 2016, applies to all tickets on the airline’s routes from 12:00-14:00 every day (Viet Nam time) during the promotion period. Travel period is from August 15, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (excluding public holidays).
The airline currently boasts a fleet of 36 aircrafts, including A320s and A321s, and operates 250 flights each day. It has already opened 50 routes in Viet Nam and across the region to international destinations, including Thailand, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, China, Myanmar and Malaysia. It has carried more than 20 million passengers to date.
