Exhibits include various sacred animals like dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, lions, horses, elephants and various objects provided by the Ha Noi museum and private collectors.

Some sacred animals are created by Vietnamese, while others are formed through interactions with foreign cultures. Each sacred animal presents its own nature that reflects Vietnamese traditional culture and characteristics.

The exhibition aims to preserve artistic, cultural and mascot values of sacred animals and help locals to better understand Vietnamese sacred animals, contributing to raising people’s awareness in preserving, inheriting and promoting the national cultural identity.

The exhibition runs till next January.

To mark the Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Day, a seminar “Vietnamese fine arts from the mascot”, folk arts performances, and water puppetry shows will also be organized at the Ha Noi Museum.
