Vietnam Airlines has announced its abolishment of fuel surcharges on all of its domestic routes from November 1, 2008.
This has been due to the continuing decrease in the world fuel prices during the past three weeks, contributing to the government's efforts to control inflation and its commitments to customers, the airlines explained.
Vietnam Airlines started to add fuel surcharges on its domestic air routes more than two months ago, under a decision issued by the Ministry of Finance dated August 8, 2008. Since then, it has reduced the surcharges twice and now officially abolished the surcharges in line with the drop of the world fuel prices.
