Vietnamese puppetry to be introduced in Republic of Korea

At the invitation of the Viet Nam - Korea Friendship Association, artisan Phan Thanh Liem will introduce the art of Vietnamese puppetry at Yang-ju artistic centre from July 25th to August 10th.

The activity is in the framework of the 25th anniversary of Joyful Theatre and the 25th anniversary of Viet Nam - Korea diplomatic ties.

Accordingly, artisan Liem and his collaborators will conduct eight 50-minute performances, introducing Vietnamese puppetry in particular and Vietnamese cultural traditional arts in general to Korean audiences. 

This is the third time artisan Liem has been invited to the Republic of Korea.

Earlier, he was invited to perform in Britain, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Canada and Poland. Recently, he has performed in Long Beach, California, at the invitation of the World Wood Day Foundation, on the occasion of the World Wood Day 2017.
