A traditional folk music program titled “Ha Thanh, 36 Old Quarters” is taking place from August 5th to September 2nd at Dong Xuan night market stage, Hoan Kiem district, Ha Noi.
The event is being held by the Viet Nam Traditional Arts and Music Development Centre to mark the National Independence Day (September 2nd).
It draws the participation of 25 individuals and 12 folk music clubs in Ha Noi, and in Hoa Binh, Vinh Yen, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Thai Binh and Ha Giang provinces and Ho Chi Minh city.
Each individual will give one performance and each group will give three performances.
The organizing board will present first, second, third and consolidation prizes to outstanding groups and individuals, and insignia to all those participating.
