Cao Bang Province Upgrades Historic Relic of Coc Bo Cave
Update: Nov 12, 2008
Ha Quang District and the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Culture, Information and Tourism have coordinated with Lung Lo Construction Company under the Ministry of National Defense in upgrading the Historic Relic of Coc Bo Cave.

Coc Bo Cave is in the Pac Bo Revolutionary and Historical Relics Area in the Northern Mountainous Province of Cao Bang. The historic relic is important because it was used in the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh.

Sixty seven years ago, after 30 years of living abroad finding solutions to save the country, on January 28th, 1941, President Ho Chi Minh returned home and lived in Coc Po Cave while directly leading the Vietnamese revolutionary movement.

To preserve this historical relic, the Vietnamese Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee to research and make plans for a restoration of the cave. The restoration is expected to be completed by June 19th, 2009.
