An arts programme was held in the central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, on September 10, to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the Xo Viet – Nghe Tinh uprising (September 12, 1930-2017).
A performance at the programme
The event featured the participation of artists from the Military Zone 4 art troupe, the Centre for Conservation and Promotion of Nghe Tinhh Folk Song Heritage and Ha Tinh Traditional Arts.
The programme was divided into three parts, with performances of Vi – Giam folk songs during the first part, featuring the intimacy between Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
The second part told the stories of the heroic fighting by the local people in the two provinces during the two resistance wars against the French and the US; meanwhile the last performances highlighted the development of the two localities in modern times.
In addition to conveying the cultural values of the two provinces, the arts programme affirmed the eternal value of the Xo Viet – Nghe Tinh uprising to the country’s revolutionary cause.
The event also offered an opportunity for the Vi – Giam clubs in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces to meet and exchange, leaving a deep impression on the audiences.
The programme is expected to contribute to raising public awareness of preserving and promoting the values of Vi – Giam Folk Songs.
