Vietnam Airlines increases flights to serve APEC 2017

Vietnam Airlines, a special partner and official transporter of APEC 2017, said on October 5th that it plans to increase flights to meet travel demand from passengers during October 5th - November 13th.

Accordingly, some 110 additional flights with over 20,000 seats will be operated on the Ha Noi/Ho Chi Minh city- Da Nang routes. The Ha Noi-Da Nang route to benefit 64 flights (an average of over 4,800 seats/day), while the Ho Chi Minh city-Da Nang route will see 44 flights (an average of nearly 6,000 seats/day).

Each of the busiest days (October 6th and 11th), there are about 50 aircraft will take off connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city to Central Da Nang city. So, at least one flight will take off or land in Da Nang every 30 minutes.

Mr Duong Tri Thanh, Vietnam Airlines President and CEO, expressed that by offering a readiness in time-table, technical maintenance and crew, his company will do its utmost to serve the rush period during the APEC event, as well as keep stabilizing its normal schedule to bring an image of a member of Sky team alliance with professional and 4-star services.
