Saigontourist launches new river tours

Saigontourist Holding Company, Viet Nam’s leading tourism services provider, has just put into service five new tourist boats and launched seven new river tours, taking in popular destinations in the city and neighboring areas.


Tourists take a river tour on board a high-speed boat in HCMC

The tours are designed by Binh Quoi Tourist Village in conjunction with Saigontourist Travel Service Co. under the umbrella of Saigontourist, with a range of options for passengers.

More noteworthy of the seven newly-operated tours are three taking tourists to sightseeing spots in HCMC and Binh Duong Province, the two most vibrant and dynamic cities in the south.

Tan Cang-Binh Duong-Ben Dinh tour

The tour departs at Tan Cang tourist site at 7 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m., available from Thursday to Saturday, taking in some popular destinations such as Ba Son, Thanh Da Canal Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge, Lai Thieu Bridge, Tran Van Ho’s ancient house in Binh Duong, Thien Hau Lady Pagoda, Thu Dau Mot Market, Phu Cuong Church, Ben Cat Intersection, Ben Dinh Tunnel in the outlying district of Cu Chi and Hai Thanh Koi Garden ecotourism site.

Tickets are priced at VND2.1 million per adult and VND1.58 million for kids aged between three and ten, including a shuttle bus to and from hotels in the downtown area, tour guide, refreshment, lunch, fruit, drinks, cold towel and entrance tickets. It is free for children under three years old.

Tan Cang-Binh Duong-Hai Thanh Koi Garden ecotourism site tour

Departing at 7 a.m. at Tan Cang tourist site, the tour will also take tourists to Thanh Da Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge and Lai Thieu Bridge. Then, visitors will continue their journey to Binh Duong Province where they visit Tran Van Ho’s ancient house, Thien Hau Lady Pagoda, Thu Dau Mot Market and Phu Cuong Church. Upon arrival at Hai Thanh Koi Garden ecotourism site, visitors will have the opportunity to visit Koi fish stream, crocodile farm and seasonal fruit farm, and enjoy other services.

The ticket costs VND1.66 million per adult and VND1.245 million for kids aged between three and ten, inclusive of services as in the tour mentioned earlier. The tour ends at 3.30 p.m.  

Mangrove Forest-Tan Cang-Can Thanh tour

The boat will pick up tourists at 7 a.m. at Tan Cang tourist site. The tour is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and scheduled to finish at 4.40 p.m. A highlight of the tour is to give tourists a chance to witness the beauty of the Can Gio Mangrove Forest, a world-class biological reserve recognized by UNESCO in 2000.

The boat will stop at Hoa Hiep Port in Can Thanh Town, Can Gio District. From there, tourists can take a bus tour around Can Thanh Town to visit oyster farming village, Dong Hoa fishing port and Can Thanh Market to gain hands-on experience in daily activities attached to the cultural and spiritual life of local residents.
In addition, visitors can feel free to drop by Viet Nam’s largest bird’s nest farming village before traveling to Binh Khanh ferry terminal to experience ferry-riding service.  

The ticket price is VND2.04 million per adult and VND1.53 million for kids aged between three and ten, including a shuttle bus to and from hotels in the downtown area, tour guide, refreshment, lunch, fruit, drinks, cold towel and entrance tickets. Those kids under three years old enjoy free tickets.
