The authority of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue is planning to build a puppet and traditional art theater costing VND6.9 billion this year with an aim to boost the province’s tourism development.

Construction on the theater is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of this year for completion in the second quarter.
The theater will be built on an area of 900 square meters by the Nhu Y River near the Nguyen Sinh Cung- Han Mac Tu intersection of Hue City, and will include a reception area, an administrative office area, a traditional display area, the main stage, and hallway.
When in place, the new theater, capable of accommodating a maximum of 150 guests at a time, is expected to help diversify entertainment activities for local people and tourists with water puppet and Hue traditional art forms performances.
