Van Don district in the northern province of Quang Ninh greeted more than 220,000 tourist arrivals from the start of the year to visit and thurify at historical relics.

Of this, 185,000 arrivals flocked to Cai Bau Pagoda and Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery in Ha Long commune, 36,000 arrivals visited Cap Tien Temple in Dong Xa commune, 2,460 arrivals travelled to Ly Anh Tong Temple in Cai Rong town, and 2,000 arrivals to Quan Lan.
Currently, the district has 51 historical and cultural relics and landscapes, including one special national relic, three national relics, six provincial relics and 41 being classified.
Over the past time, Van Don attached special importance to managing and organizing cultural activities and festivals, and promoting traditional cultural values of localities. Some relics were repaired, upgraded and embellished by socialized sources, meeting the demand for cultural, festive and spiritual activities of local people and visitors.
