The ThuaThien - Hue Museum of History in the central province of ThuaThien - Hue on April 24 received more than 260 antiques donated by 56 collectors from UNESCO Viet Nam's Centre for research and conservation of antiquities.
According to Cao Huy Hung, director of the Thua Thien - Hue Museum of History, within less than two months of the opening letter of the Museum, collectors of antiques from many organisations donated more than 260 artefacts of various types.
The artefacts are of great value for research and preservation, offering cultural and historic researchers and students in the province a chance to understand Viet Nam’s cultural characteristics at different stages during the course of history, he noted.
Also on the occasion, the Museum organised an exhibition featuring more than240 artefacts, mainly pottery from Vietnamese feudal dynasties dated from the 18th to the 19th century.
