Quang Binh strives to welcome 3.5 million tourists

Quang Binh province in Central Viet Nam welcomed more than 727,000 tourists in the first quarter of 2018, an increase of 12% compared to the same period of 2017, bringing in about VND 820 billion in revenues.

During the recent National Reunification (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holidays, the province was the destination for about 184,000 tourists, including about 9,000 foreigners, showing an increase of 15% compared to the same period last year. The hotel occupancy reached 80-85%, while on some days it was nearly 100%.

In 2018, the provincial tourism sector has planned to receive 3.5 million tourists, including around 120,000 foreigners, and, to reach that goal, the province has paid particular attention to developing tourism in combination with sustainable conservation while also creating jobs and increasing incomes for local people.
