Community tourism tours begin in Ca Mau
Update: Jul 04, 2018
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau Province is organizing a familiarization trip, titled, “Study on Ca Mau’s tourism destinations,” to introduce local tourism spots to tourists who are increasingly becoming attracted to tranquil places and the country life of the local people instead of the chaos of modern city life.

The first destination for the fam-trip delegation is the Ca Mau Cape National Park in Dat Mui Commune in Ngoc Hien District. The national park houses community tourism sites and was recognized as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in May 2009. The park is also recognized as the 2088th Ramsar site in the world, the fifth in Viet Nam and the second in the Mekong Delta region.

At the community tourism sites, tourists will be able to enjoy a tranquil atmosphere amid mangrove forests. They can also participate in the daily activities of the locals, such as spreading out a net, catching ba khia (three-striped crabs) and checking traps for cua dong (field crabs).

They can admire thousands of birds in Tu Su Bird Garden in Bien Bach Dong Commune, Thoi Binh District, in Ca Mau Province.
