(TITC) – From August 6-15, 2018, Vietnamese delegation led by Chairman of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, organized roadshows introducing Viet Nam tourism in 4 cities of Australia including Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.
Tourism enterprises of the two sides to exchange information
The roadshows attracted the attendance of hundreds of representatives of local tourism authorities, tourism enterprises and media from Viet Nam and Australia.
The promotional program aimed to introduce about Viet Nam’s tourism products and policies; in addition to promoting Vietnamese unique culture and hospitality people to Australian enterprises and media. It was also a good chance for tourism enterprises of the two sides to exchange information and boost tourism cooperation.
Australia has long been considered as one of key tourist markets of Viet Nam. VNAT annually held promotional activities in big cities of Australia and hosted famtrips for enterprises and media to survey Viet Nam tourism services, with the aim of luring more tourists from the land of the Kangaroo.
In 2017, Viet Nam received more than 370 thousand Australian arrivals, up 15.5% over 2016. In the first 7 months of this year, there were nearly 238 thousand Australian arrivals to Viet Nam, seeing an increase of 9.1% over the same period last year.

In the framework of the promotional program, on August 13, VNAT for the first time organized roadshow in Auckland City, New Zealand.
Viet Nam served more than 49 thousand visitor arrivals from New Zealand in 2017 and over 28 thousand arrivals in the 7 first months of this year, increasing 3% over the same period last year. Thanks to successful organization of the roadshow in Auckland, Viet Nam hoped to be more popular to tourism enterprises and media of New Zealand.
