Airlines add more flights for National Day holiday

Several domestic airlines have announced plans to add more flights to serve surging travel demand during the National Day holiday which falls on the weekend from September 1-3.   


 

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operate 32 more flights with nearly 6,500 seats during August 31-September 3 on high-demand routes to popular tourist destinations such as Ha Noi to Da Nang/Quy Nhon/Phu Quoc and Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon/Nha Trang/Phu Quoc/Da Lat. 

The airline’s representative said the carrier will constantly update on travel demands and flexibly adjust flights to best meet passengers’ demand.

Meanwhile, low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific will operate more than 540 flights during August 31-September 3, capable of serving more than 100,000 passengers, up 35 percent from the same period last year. 

The airline said it has announced flight schedules long before the holiday to allow passengers to book early, adding that the numbers of bookings on flights to Phu Quoc, Da Nang and Da Lat have surged in recent days. Other routes have also seen increases in demand.
