Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vu Anh Quang said that the country’s participation in the event aims to popularise Viet Nam as an attractive and safe destination for foreign tourists, with beautiful landscapes and diverse culture.

He stressed the need to improve the quality of tourism services in a more sustainable manner, and simplify entrance and exit procedures to create favourable conditions for tourists, especially those from Europe.

Paul Lorsignol, Sales & Marketing Manager of Travel Sensation – a Belgian company - said that with its diversity in culture and landscape, Viet Nam is an attractive destination for holidaymakers.

According to him, high-quality tours to learn about the cultural identity will offer chances for European tourists to discover a well-preserved Viet Nam.

These tours will lure more visitors to the country in the next 10-15 years, he predicted.

Last year, Viet Nam welcomed more than 15.6 million foreign tourists, up 19.9 percent year-on-year, of whom nearly 32,000 come from Belgium.
