Located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh, Son Doong is the world’s largest cave.

Thanks to 360-degree images arranged scientifically with thorough explanations for each destination, readers can imagine the cave’s grandeur.

Son Doong 360 is a project by National Geographic aiming to preserve the cave in digital form before it becomes subject to extensive tourism development.

In 2014, Son Doong Cave ranked eighth out of 52 places to visit by The New York Times.

The other best virtual tours of natural wonders as ranked by The Guardian are: The Grand Canyon (the US), Mount Everest (Nepal), the northern lights, Yosemite National Park (the US), Zhāngjiājiè National Forest Park (China), Giants Causeway (Northern Ireland), Perito Moreno Glacier (Argentina), Ambrym Volcano (Vanuatu), and Namib Desert dunes (Namibia).
