The photo stood out from over 10,000 entries sent to the contest, held by Agora, a global photography social network.
Taken by photographer Tran Tuan Viet from Ha Tinh province, the photo provides an aerial view of the 150-metre-long bridge, which is situated at the mountainous Ba Na Hills resort.
By winning the most votes from users of the world’s biggest free-to use photo app Agora, Viet was crowned with the #Architecture2020 Hero title and awarded the US$1,000 top prize.
Describing his subject, Viet wrote that the Golden Bridge on Ba Na Hills in the central city of Da Nang was built at around 1,400 meters above sea level. It is divided into eight spans (the longest one 20m), with a total length of 148.6 m.
The impressive work of architecture has the unique characteristic of being held up by two giant concrete hands, representing the Mountain God’s hands, he explained..
The contest was launched in March on the Agora mobile app for both amateur and professional photographers.
