Various activities are being held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism to entertain children
Themed “Summer for children”, the activities will feature the participation of over 100 people from 16 ethnic minority groups; 12 Cham ethnic minority artisans from Bau Truc pottery village in Ninh Thuan province; and students from the Northwest College of Arts and Culture.
The highlight will be the “My childhood” programme which will feature many traditional folk games of ethnic minority groups such as the Muong people’s stick pushing, the rattan circle throwing of the Co Tu people, walking on stilts, and tug of war.
A photo exhibition on activities for children held at the village over the past few years is also expected to attract visitors.
In addition, the organising board will arrange a space for children and visitors to read books as well as launching a movement themed “green-clean-beautiful villages” to call for environmental protection.
On the occasion, a programme themed “Melody from the land” will also be held to outline the process of making pottery products by artisans from Ninh Thuan province’s Bau Truc pottery village.
Students from the Northwest College of Arts and Culture will give performances highlighting the vibrant activities and traditional culture of various regions from around the country.
