A week of Vietnamese gastronomy is being held in Macau from April 25-May 2 with the aim of promoting the national culture to Macau people.
Addressing the event, Vietnamese Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau Pham Cao Phong said he hoped the event would help boost exchanges between Vietnam and Macau.
Several Vietnamese cooks and traditional music bands are performing at the event, together with activities to introduce Vietnamese people and landscape, including famous tourism sites.
Macau has been a potential labour market for Vietnam. At present, about 5,000 Vietnamese workers are working there.
