Mui Ne plans to welcome foreign arrivals from February
Update: Jan 17, 2022
The southcentral province of Binh Thuan is set to launch a pilot scheme welcoming foreign arrivals under package tourism programmes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport or Cam Ranh airport to resorts in the Ham Tien - Mui Ne area of Phan Thiet City from February.

Binh Thuan is expected to welcome international visitors to the Ham Tien - Mui Ne area as of February

The move comes following Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee submitting a request to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to add Binh Thuan to the list of localities which are permitted to welcome international tourists.

During the initial phase, the locality will pilot receiving foreign arrivals from February under package tours and through both charter and commercial flights.

Bui The Nhan, director of the provincial Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, revealed that 100 accommodation facilities throughout the province are currently eligible to welcome visitors in line with safety criteria for pandemic prevention and control.

During the second phase as of April, the locality plans to connect destinations through regular charter and commercial flights, as visitors can participate in tourism schemes linking Binh Thuan to other provinces that have been approved by competent authorities to welcome international tourists.

At present, a total of 94% of residents in Binh Thuan have been fully vaccinated, while the province has prepared various scenarios to prevent risks during the process of welcoming international guests.
