Tran Thi Bao Thu, marketing and communication director of Fiditour Travel – Vietluxtour, revealed that tourism demand for the Lunar New Year has increased, with a number of organisations and companies having reserved tours specifically for their year-end events.
Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh, deputy director of Vietravel's Marketing Department, anticipates that the company will serve roughly 15,000 visitors as part of the occasion, with the number of reserved tours reaching approximately 50% of the set plan.
Nguyen Minh Man, director of Marketing and Communications of TST Tourist, said the number of visitors registering for these tours during Tet has reached roughly 40% so far, adding that these positive outcomes can largely be attributed to "pandemic-free green zones" in the southern city, high vaccination coverage, and effective co-ordination among leading travel agencies.
According to travel firms, tourists have a preference for choosing popular destinations during Tet, including Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Vung Tau.
Experts have pointed out that travelers tend to select tours with competitive prices, adding that tour operators such as Fiditour, Saigontourist, and Vietravel have launched a number of package tours offering huge discounts for customers.
