StarLux Airlines of Taiwan began flying to Ha Noi on January 13, as border controls imposed to control the spread of COVID-19 have eased up in both Viet Nam and Taiwan.
StarLux will fly between Taoyuan International Airport and Ha Noi - the Vietnamese capital - once a day using the single-aisle Airbus A321neo.
The scheduled daily flight will leave Taoyuan at 9:25 a.m. and land in Ha Noi at 11:40 a.m., and then depart from Hanoi at 12:55 p.m. and arrive in Taiwan at 4:35 p.m.
The carrier is the first international airline to open a regular route to Ha Noi in 2023 and one of the five international airlines to open a route to Ha Noi after two years of being affected of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, airlines such as Thai Smile Airways, Fly Gangwon, and Myanmar Airways have launched routes to Ha Noi.
With the presence of Starlux Airlines, the Noi Bai International Airport now hosts 58 international and domestic airlines carrying passengers and cargo, linking Ha Noi with 60 foreign and 17 domestic destinations./.
