During the January - February period, 107,300 Vietnamese entered Japan, up 43.5 percent against the same period in 2019, the highest growth rate among source markets for the East Asian country.

In 2023, JNTO will focus on building relationships and cooperation with travel companies, airlines, and media channels while promoting digital marketing and Japan's image via the Viet Nam - Japan Festival and events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic relations.

The above orientations will serve to quickly restore the number of Vietnamese tourists coming to Japan to the pre-pandemic levels.
