The eighth Vietnam - Japan Festival and the second Vietnam – Republic of Korea (RoK) festival will be held from July 13 to July 16 and September 7 to September 9 respectively in the central coastal city of Da Nang, according to the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs.
The eighth Vietnam - Japan Festival is part of activities to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. It aims to promote international cooperation among the city, diplomatic missions, Japanese consular offices in Vietnam, and Japanese enterprises.
A wide range of cultural exchanges between both Vietnam and Japan will be held during the festival, including music and wrestling performances.
In addition, a number of seminars are also planned as part of efforts to strengthen business connectivity, along with promoting tourism to the Japanese market and providing information about studying in Japan.
Meanwhile, the second Vietnam – RoK Festival is set to be expanded into an annual foreign cultural event moving forward.
The festival aims to enhance understanding, step up cooperation, and deepen the friendly relationship between the two countries. It is expected to attract more than 150 RoK artists from 13 traditional and modern art troupes.
The highlight of the event will be the Vietnam - RoK talent contest, as well as the Korean Food Competition that is to be jointly held by the city’s Department of Foreign Affairs and the RoK Consulate General in Da Nang.
