(TITC) - From 1st to 2nd September 2024, Paragliding Festival is themed “Flying over Scenic - golden season 2024” will take place in Lim Mong Village, Cao Pha Commune, Mu Cang Chai District (Yen Bai Province) to promote tourism, the image of terraced fields to domestic and international tourists.
This event is co-organized by Vien Nam Tourism and Sports Joint Stock Company (Mebayluon Paragliding) in collaboration with Ha Noi Paragliding Association (HNAA) with the support of Mu Cang Chai District People's Committee (Yen Bai).
Early September is the most beautiful time of the year in Mu Cang Chai with golden rice fields stretching across the valley, leaving an unforgettable impression on all visitors.
The paragliding festival is a combination of air sports and tourism promotion campaigns. Coming to the Festival, visitors will be able to admire paragliding and unique performances.
Twenty motorised paragliders fly in coordination, creating aerial shapes with artistic light and smoke.

Hundreds of pilots (paragliders without engines) took off from the top of Khau Pha Pass, flew along Lim Mong Valley and landed at the landing site near the Opening Ceremony location.
Noticeably is the Flag Raising Ceremony to celebrate National Day 2nd September. The competition will take place with the pilots competing in Precision Landing, flying high and far with scores based on the international scoring system.
In addition, the programme also provides tandem paragliding experience services for visitors with both motorised and non-motorized paragliding during the golden season from 25th August to 30th November 2024.
Visitors can register to experience tandem paragliding with world-class professional pilots, pilots with the most flight hours in Vietnam. Visitors can feel the surreal beauty of the terraced fields in the ripe rice season, recognized as the most beautiful in the world, with a view from above and the feeling of flying freely in the air.

Mr. Dang Van My, representative of Vien Nam Sports and Sports Tourism Joint Stock Company shared with Bao Van Hoa: paragliding has been present in Mu Cang Chai since 2014 and here is one of the destinations that experts assess as having many potential and outstanding conditions with beautiful and pristine landscape.
“This can be said to be the world’s top flying spot during the rice harvest season. Pilots and tourists who fly here are amazed. Once they fly here, they want to come back at least once a year”, said Mr. Dang Van My.
The Opening Ceremony of the Paragliding Festival “Flying over Scenic - golden season 2024” will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, 1st September at Ban Lim Thai Paragliding landing site, Cao Pha Commune.
