A number of folk musicians from the central province of Quang Ngai will perform on Jeju Island in the Republic of Korea (the RoK) under an art and cultural exchange programme from September 24-28.
The artists will play several kinds of traditional musical instruments such as flutes, horns and gongs, reported the Quang Ngai provincial Literature and Arts Association.
Audiences in Jeju will also have the chance to listen to folk songs of the Co and Hre, two of the ethnic minorities in the province, the association added.
On the occasion, exhibitions of fine art from both countries as well as both provinces will also be on display.
The association’s Vice President Nguyen Thanh Tung, said that the cultural event will help to promote his province’s image to people from the RoK, and also maintain and expand ties between the two regional cultures.
September, a group from the Jeju Literature and Arts Union visited Quang Ngai and took part in a number of cultural activities in the province.
