Vietnam, Mekong tourism introduced in Germany

The German travel company Gebeco on October 16 held a night to introduce Vietnam and Mekong tourism within the framework of the freshly-ended Asia-Pacific Week 2009 in Berlin.

During the night, visitors were presented with popular tourist destinations, cultures and tourism services, as well as countries along the Mekong River, including Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

The company also informed the guests about air routes from German to Thailand and Vietnam, local air routes, as well flights from Vietnam to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap of Cambodia and Vientiane and Luang Prabang of Laos.

Gebeco, Germany’s second largest travel agency, operates in 16 fields, including culture, research, exploring, adventure and religious tourism, bringing thousands of German tourists to Asia, Africa and South Africa annually.

The Asia-Pacific Week 2009, which was held from October 7-16, focused on promoting “Mekong countries’ tourism”, “Day of Mekong countries” and “Asian rail and land routes”.
