In Harmony with Sea and Mountain
Update: Nov 26, 2009
The Nha Trang-Buon Ma Thuot tour enables tourists to discover the beauty of primeval scenery, spectacular forests and mountains and play interesting beach games

The Buon Ma Thuot-Nha Trang tour operated by Ben Thanh Tourist satisfies the demands of tourists who like going up mountains and out to sea. First, the tour takes participants to learn about the culture of the Central Highlands — the culture of gongs, enjoying ruou can and other specialties prepared by the local people.

Gongs are a precious cultural heritage of the ethnic minorities of the Central Highlands, which has been recognized as an oral and intangible masterpiece by UNESCO. Gongs are considered to be the holiest and most valuable objects in the minority community. According to a central highland village patriarch, gongs can help convey a message directly to God and are only used in village festivals.

Heading to Buon Ma Thuot City, tourists will drop by Ako Dhong and Jun villages to learn about the life of the ethnic people. As a special treat, tourists not only travel by the usual means but also take an elephant ride. Those who do not know how to ride an elephant are instructed on how to climb up and sit on the back of the elephant by the locals. They then ride the elephant around the nearby villages and visit the eco-forest and Lak Lake, surrounded by diverse flora and fauna, where kings used to stop when visiting Buon Ma Thuot.

The tour moves on with a visit to Dray Sap Waterfall, the most impressive waterfall on the Srepok River. The river flows over beautiful rocks. There, groups of tourists can engage in outdoor activities, team games, or sit on a big tree-root to view the Srepok River and the imposing scenery of the mountain and forest.

Then, tourists will head to Nha Trang and visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium, an underwater world in a model of the Titanic ocean-liner, with various colorful sea creatures. Notably, tourists can take part in water games such as kayaking, gliding, diving to enjoy the coral reefs and fishing in the blue seawater, and frolic in the sea.

In Nha Trang, tourists should not miss visiting the Thap Ba Hot Spring Spa, soaking in hot mineral water and bathing in mud that contains minerals which treat complexion and joint diseases.

On the way back, the tour group will visit Long Son Pagoda, a big pagoda among the 20 in Nha Trang at the foot of Trai Thuy Mountain. The pagoda, housing a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, was founded at the end of the 19th century and renovated in 1940 with a modern architectural and sculptural style. Visits to Tu Van and San Ho pagodas are also included in the tour.
