An exhibition of 140 outstanding paintings by Vietnamese children aged between 6 and 14 is being held in Paris from January 5-31.
Vietnam’s Ambassador to UNESCO, Van Nghia Dung, and a large number of overseas Vietnamese as well as many French people attended the opening ceremony.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Cultural Central in France. It gives French people and overseas Vietnamese a chance to understand the Vietnamese kids’ capacity for painting and how they feel about their surroundings. The exhibition will help to present Vietnam’s countryside and its people to foreign friends and develop the friendship between Vietnam and France.
Some of these paintings have won prestigous prizes in Egypt, India, the US, Japan, Hungary and Turkey.
