Vietnam Airlines on February 4 announced that it would increase domestic flights during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday this year.
The national flag carrier will have a total of 136 flights on the Hanoi-HCMC and HCMC-Danang route during the peak period from February 5 to 28, using Airbus A321 (212 seats) planes.
According to the plan, the Hanoi-HCMC-Hanoi route will be increased to four flights a day, which is equal to 19,500 seats for the entire peak period, a rise of 50% over normal days.
The HCMC-Danang-HCMC route will see two flights per day, which is equal to 9,300 seats, for the period. The total number of seats will rise by 68% compared with normal days.
