Many Vietnamese and foreign tourists are eager to see the 2010 Danang International Fireworks Competition which will take place on March 27 and 28. The event this year under the theme Legend of the Han River will welcome five teams from the U.S., Japan, France, Portugal and Danang.
With each show lasting about 20 minutes, spectators will have a chance to admire the talents of team Pyrotecnico from New Castle Town, Pennsylvania, known as the fireworks capital of the U.S., Luso Pirotecnia Group from Portugal, Jacques Couturier Organization from France and the famous fireworks company Tamaya Kitahara from Japan. This year’s event will be more animated and more imposing than last time as it is also aimed to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and 35 years of liberation for Danang City.
Saigontourist Travel Service Company has launched a special cluster of tours for tourists to enjoy the fireworks display at night and visit historical and cultural heritages in Central Vietnam in the daytime.
The company has introduced a tour that combines the competition and a round of golf at Montgomerie Links. The three-day tour with a package price of VND8.39 million, inclusive of round trip airfare, hotel accommodation, landscape sightseeing and golf, will depart HCMC on March 27.
Joining the tour, tourists also have a chance to discover landscapes of Hoi An ancient city with its ancient houses and shimmering rays of colorful lanterns, and Ong and Cau old pagodas, and cruise on the Hoai River under sparkling lights of lanterns.
Other three-day tours to Danang City are priced between VND2-3 million, exclusive of air tickets.
