Diverse activities to mark the 121st anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday

Many cultural activities are scheduled to take place in the central province of Nghe An from May 17th to 30th to celebrate the 121st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.

The Nghe An provincial museum will hold an exhibition of photos about the Party, Uncle Ho and Sen village festival in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district and Vinh city.

Nghe An provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a seminar on 30 years of the Sen village festival’s association with the preservation and promotion of Ho Chi Minh cultural values.

An exchange with actors who have successfully played the role of Uncle Ho on the stage will be held.

Four films about Uncle Ho will be screened free at Vinh university, Nam Dan cultural centre in Cua Lo town and at a cinema in Vinh city.

Uncle Ho Temple, which was built in Cai Nuoc district in the southern province of Ca Mau in 1975, will be restored for this occasion. In 1996, the Ministry of Culture and Information recognized the temple as a provincial cultural and historical relic.

On May 15th, at President Ho Chi Minh Vestiges Areas in the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, 100 bronze drums were offered by Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, Lam Kinh Cultural Heritage Association and Thanh Hoa Antiques Association. Thanh Hoa province also presented five bronze drums to President Ho Chi Minh Vestiges Areas and places related to his name.
