Carnival promotes image of Nha Trang

A carnival, one of the most interesting programmes during the Nha Trang Sea Festival 2011, took place on the evening of June 13 at April 2 Square in the seaside city of Nha Trang , in Khanh Hoa Province.

The event saw an artistic performance of 12 items, a procession of around 15 vehicles decorated with flowers, nine processions and participation of famous domestic and foreign actors and actresses.

Various artistic performances at the event aimed to promote images of Nha Trang city and manifested the vitality of the young city which was becoming a centre of cultural, economic and tourism events of national and international stature.


A highlight of the carnival was a procession, featuring the cultural influences of 32 Vietnamese ethnic groups living in Khanh Hoa province through the dances of four major groups including Raglai, Hoa, Kinh (Viet) and Champa.


On the same afternoon, a range of activities such as a human chess competition, artistic performances, works of sand art and Don Ca Tai Tu singing were held at the square.
