The UNESCO Association of Hanoi officially launched the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club (UHTC) on June 16.
The club brings together nearly 200 travel agents and enterprises operating in Hanoi and the surrounding areas.
The UHTC aims to introduce and promote the capital city's thousand-year-old culture to both domestic and foreign tourists, and also help create more favourable conditions for travel agents in the city.
UHTC Chairman Truong Quoc Hung said the club has recently hosted many exchanges and a variety of activities for member enterprises in order to build a close-knit network among club members and their partners.
The Travel Club will continue organising a number of events and expanding partnerships with other organisations and individuals at home and abroad to promote the image of Hanoi and its residents.
It also hopes to participate in external and cultural activities hosted by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the UNESCO Association of Hanoi, as well as other tourism and trade promotion events.
