The project to discover the history and culture of West lake by electric car service, launched two months ago has attracted 1,500 tourists, including over 800 foreign visitors.
With this tour, visitors not only travel around West Lake, but also visit 21 relics and tourist attractions along the lake, including West Lake Park, the pagodas of Tao Sach, Van Nien, Thien Nien, Vong Thi, Sai, Co Le, Tran Quoc, Kim Lien and Quang Ba, the temples of Trich Sai, Co Le, Quan Thanh, Cau Nhi, Yen Phu, Nghi Tam, Tay Ho, Quang An, Ly Tu Trong flower garden, Cong Doan lotus pond, etc.
West Lake has a long history associated with the formation and development of the capital city of Thang Long-Hanoi.
The first electric car for tourists was introduced as an experiment in Hanoi's old quarter, with 13 stops. Hanoi plans to reduce the number of cyclos and increase electric cars to serve tourists better in the old quarter.
