"Non Chuong" trademark is recognized

A ceremony was held on November 15 to recognize Non Chuong trademark by Phuong Trung commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.

Chuong village is a long-standing traditional palm-leaf conical hat making traditional trade village with various products. Each year, Chuong village provides around 3 million palm leaf conical hats to the market and exports to Southeast Asian countries, China and Japan.

The palm-leaf conical hat making trade currently attracts about 2,700 households with 8,000 employees in the local area and 2,000 employees from other areas. Income for each employee is about VND3.5 - 4 million per month.

The National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, recognized the collective trademark of "Non Chuong". The event marks the new development stage of Non Chuong. It is also a good condition for the village to expand their market.
